Description
Networking system for the lowest level field area (binary sensors and actuators). Data and power are transmitted between the control unit and peripherals via an unshielded, geometrically coded, two-conductor flat cable (protection against incorrect polarity). Insulation displacement technology is used to connect the conductors in the ASI modules. The Europe-wide EN 50295 and international IEC 62026-2 standards apply to ASI.
