Description
IR thermometer and dew point scanner
This compact infrared thermometer is a handy addition to any DIY toolkit. It helps building preservation and acts as an early warning system when it comes to indoor mould growth, as in large maounts mould spores can be a health hazard to humans. The IR-SCAN-350RH/2 helps you identify mould-prone areas in your home long before the mould starts growing.
Dew point detection
The IR-SCAN-350RH is an IR thermometer with a built-in RH meter that calculates dew point temperatures. Temperatures equal to/below the dew point multiply the risk of mold growth. Easy to use. Done by pressing one button. When being switched on the scanner automatically takes a temperature and RH reading. Both are used to calculate the dew point which in turn is used as a baseline for IR scans of areas that are liable to mold and mildew growth. The scanner shows you the weak spots of your wall insulation resulting in increased surface moisture levels.
Dew point detection
The dew point indicates the environmental conditions that trigger moisture condensation forming on indoor surfaces. Condensation constitutes the ideal substrate for mould growth. Dew point temperatures are calculated using the air temperature, RH and surface temperature readings. An easy-to-read traffic light display (green/amber/red) indicates when dew point temperatures reach critical values.
Non-contact IR temperature readings
The built-in IR thermometer enables non-contact surface temperature readings. Remote temperature measurment also enables scanning areas that cannot be easily accessed, or objects unsafe to be touched. Two laser dots mark the size of the scanned area - just point and shoot.
20:1 IR optics
This parameter refers to the ratio between the distance to and the size of the scanned area. The higher the value the more precise the reading at a given distance. Which means that temperature readings can be taken from a greater distances without reducing the accuracy of the readings.
