Conrad supports the circular economy
Sustainable business is only possible if we manage together to reduce our consumption of resources by avoiding waste, using existing products longer, and consistently recycling valuable raw materials. Conrad actively supports the transition to a circular economy through its own initiatives and cooperation with innovative partners.
In our assortment we offer remanufactured products in the category „Refurbished“.
Compliance with legal requirements is a matter of course for us. All of Conrad's suppliers are also contractually obligated to fulfill the corresponding requirements as well.
Products with environmental benefits
We label sustainable products transparently with our Eco label. This enables our customers to see whether the product is an environmentally friendly and resource-saving alternative.
Eco-labeled products have environmental advantages over other products in their material class and carry at least one of the following certifications: Blue Angel, EU Ecolabel, TCO Certified.
In addition to the Eco label, we also use the "Plastic Free" label to identify the increasing number of products that do not contain any plastic in their outer packaging. In the private label range, for example, this applied to almost 90 percent of all new products added to the range in 2020.
Energy label: Quickly identify efficient products
The EU energy label enables customers to identify which products are particularly energy-efficient. Colored gradations from green to red and a letter scale provide an overview of the energy consumption of refrigerators, washing machines etc.
The energy efficiency classes from A to G not only provide information on power consumption. Other properties of the appliance - such as water consumption or volume during operation - are also included in the overall result. These factors are additionally shown on the energy label.
In our Conrad online store, you will find the energy label visibly placed next to the manufacturer's name. You can also easily compare the energy efficiency class and other properties of the product via the product comparison. In this way, we would like to provide you with orientation in your search for energy-efficient devices and thus support you in saving energy.
