WAS exactly means maxE?The self-discharge is ten times lower than with normal NiMH-batteries. After one year, around 80% of the initial capacity is still available. This was made possible by a special separator, which drastically reduces the unwanted internal current flow. Since the batteries are delivered precharged, they can be used directly.
