The Aruba Instant On 1430 Switch series is an unmanaged plug-and-play switch series for small businesses that need a simple, reliable and cost-effective network connection. These easy to use switches offer Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switching features at an affordable price to connect and share common resources such as printers and access points without complicated network configuration. With plug and play operation, fully automated functions, no continuous maintenance, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) models, these switches offer simple, reliable connectivity for the smallest SMBs and home offices.Main featuresUnmanaged Ethernet connectivity for small businesses- The Aruba Instant On 1430 Switch Series is an unmanaged Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switch series that is ready for use in seven models in PoE configurations and non-POE configurations: One (1) 5-port, two (2) 8-port, two (2) 16-port, one (1) 24-port, and one (1) 26-port model with 2 SFP Uplinks.- The PoE models deliver up to 30 W PoE performance per port for Class 4 PoE devices such as access points, surveillance cameras and VoIP telephones. The 8 and 16-port PoE models offer a power budget of 64 W, 124 W to support the latest IoT devices.- Two dedicated 26-port 1G SFP fiber connectors can be used for uplinks and support long-distance connections with fiber optic transceivers, providing a total of 28 Ethernet ports.Plug and play operation- The Aruba Instant On 1430 Switch series is easy to use and requires no configuration or ongoing management.- The unmanaged PoE models provide fully automatic support for operating compatible IP phones, video surveillance cameras, or wireless access points- No configuration other than the installation of optional 1 GbE SFP transceivers on the 26-port model to extend connectivity with Gigabit fiber.- Flexibility in installation by supporting table, undertable, wall and rack mounting options (varies by model).- Simplified cabling automatically adjusts to direct or crossover cables on all 10/100/1000 ports.Energy efficiency and traffic optimization- The Aruba Instant On 1430 Switch series supports Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and meets the 802.3az standard to save energy in low-activity times.- All models support silent operation without fans in office environments or acoustically sensitive environments and require less power for operation.- Quality of Service provides the priority of time-critical packages (e.g. VoIP and video), based on DSCP or IEEE 802.1p classifications, takes precedence over other traffic.- Jumbo frame support supports frame sizes up to 9,216 bytes to increase performance when transferring large amounts of data.- Flow Control provides a mechanism for flow limitation over the network to prevent packet loss on an overflowing node.
