Asus EyeCare technology

The Asus monitors were developed for all-day comfort and eye protection and possess the TÜV-certified EyeCare technology as well as other exclusive functions, which reduce the load of the eyes while being used for long periods of time.

Asus Dual flicker-free technology

Reduces flickering and eye load by adjusting the background lighting and controlling the picture repetition frequency and thus provides for a flicker-free picture - even with high picture repetition frequencies.

TÜV-certified flicker-free

Remove flickering by adjusting the backlight
The advanced adjustment of the background lighting, certified by TÜV Rheinland, prevents flickering and thus guarantees a high viewing comfort even when viewed for a long time.

Asus exclusive comfort rate

Prevent flicker by changing the Frame rate

Sudden changes in the image refresh rate may cause brightness fluctuations, which are perceived as flickering. The ComfortRate technology stabilizes the frame rate within optimized intervals to reduce brightness fluctuations by up to 7 times*, providing flicker-free comfort for fast-paced games – with selectable levels for customized adjustments.
*Results are based on Asus internal lab tests when selecting the High level.
*The "ComfortRate" feature is only available when FreeSync™ (VRR) is enabled.

Long-lasting antibacterial treatment

Stay healthy thanks to hygienic technology

The plates and quick keys of the VY249HG2 are coated with an antibacterial silver-ion coating. By preventing bacterial adhesion by up to 99.9%, critical areas of the monitor remain clean and hygienic, potentially reducing the spread of harmful bacteria.

The VY249HG2 has been subjected to the antimicrobial activity and efficacy tests according to ISO 22196, carried out by the independent testing laboratory TÜV SÜD.

How does ionic silver work?

Positive charged silver ions (AG+) connect to the cell walls of negatively charged microbes and bacteria, interfere with their internal functions and kill them.
