Description
The robust and compact positioner is designed for mounting on thrust and swivel drives with standardization in accordance with IEC 65034-6-1 or VDI/VDE 3845 (IEC 60534-6-2). The variant with remote position sensors can also be used to control Bürkert process control valves. The setpoint setting for the digital electro-pneumatic positioner SideControl BASIC is made via current standard signals 4…20mA or via bus as an option. In addition, a binary input and an optional analog feedback signal are available. The valve opening is qualitatively indicated via a mechanical indicator element and the device status is signaled via 3 colored LEDs. All operating elements are present in the housing. The commissioning takes place automatically and the following functions are activated directly on the device via DIP switch: Sealing closing threshold, conversion of the setpoint signal, characteristic selection, manual/automatic switching. Additional options for configuration and parameterization, such as the linearization of the operating characteristic by means of a freely programmable correction characteristic, are available with the help of communication software. The pneumatic actuator system can be used equally for single and double-acting drives. It is characterized by a defined safety behavior in the event of failure of the electrical or pneumatic auxiliary power and has a very large usable air power range at supply pressures up to 7 bar.
