Description
Against the background of curbing global warming, a power supply with higher efficiency stands for longevity and less waste of energy. The Cougar Polar platinum efficiency series protects the earth and provides the best for future generations.
COUGAR introduces its first Platinum efficiency power supplies Polar 1200 and 1050. 100% Japanese capacitors and 50°C operation with LLC, DC-DC structure produce an environment-friendly power supply with highly efficient performance. The finely tuned HDB fan with zero-noise mode offers a perfect experience to all users under different conditions.
The Polar product range is also certified by the Cybeettics Lab for the Platinum efficiency class.
LOW ENERGY LOSS
EVERY PRODUCED POWER IS WORTH IT TO BE PRESERVED
Let us save the earth by reducing the loss of energy
- The Polar series reduces the energy loss to less than 7%.
- Certified with 80Plus Platinum to achieve efficiency of up to 92% at 115 Vac.
- Less efficiency loss due to optimized board-to-board wave soldering.
ZERO NOISE MODE
ULTRA-QUIET AT HIGH POWER
Low heat dissipation for constant temperature
- Zero-noise mode at 40%.
- Automatic temperature control for optimum ratio of speed and operating noise.
The advanced chassis increases airflow concentration by using the COUGAR 135 mm HDB silent fan and the large inlet port. In addition, the fan curvature was fine tuned to reduce vibrations.
The entire fan arrangement corresponds to the low noise level A+ according to the Cybenetics Lab-Standards.

Protection
UVP (undervoltage protection)
If the voltages on the individual conductors drop below a certain tolerance value, the mains unit switches off automatically.
OCP (over-current protection)
If the current flowing on a single wire is higher than indicated, the power supply unit switches off automatically.
SCP (short-circuit protection) to be prevented in the event of a short-circuit
This function damages the core components of the power supply and its system components.
OVP (overvoltage protection)
If the voltages on the cables exceed a certain tolerance value, the mains adapter switches off automatically.
OTP (excess temperature protection)
If the temperature becomes too high, the power supply unit switches off automatically.
OPP (overload protection)
If the system is overloaded and requires more power from the power supply than it can deliver, this protection feature is activated.
Protection through compliant coating
Protects against conductive particles/dust, high humidity and penetrating insects
