Description
This serial adapter for cable extension from Delock is suitable for all serial interfaces. It connects devices such as printers, computers, gateways, checkout systems, etc. The adapter thus offers a simple solution, for transferring serial data for example from RS-232/422/485 interfaces with a CAT.5 cable within an existing cable infrastructure.
Line properties for the serial adapter
A standard cable, e.g. Category 5 (CAT.5), has much better cable characteristics than a standard RS-232 cable. It enables to transfer high data rates without additional signal amplification and to bridge large distances without any errors.
