Splicing boxes are used in the network cabinet to bundle the fiber-optic cables running together - comparable to a patch panel for copper laying cables.
In the network cabinet, the signal of the fiber-optic cable can be sent to the switch, media converter, router, modem, server, SFP modules or FTTH/FTTB home input sockets are patched.
The fiber pigtails used are colored according to DIN IEC 60304 and inserted in the splice box(s).
The housing material is 1 mm thick steel sheet, which is painted in gray (RAL 7035) or powder coated.
The splice box is pre-equipped - a fitted splice cassette and corresponding couplings for the front plate are already installed.
