Extech 445815 Hygrometer Calibrated to (DAkkS standards) 10 RH 99 RH Dew point/mould detector

Damage resulting from high humidity and poor ventilation in storage rooms, offices, and houses give rise not only to millions worth of costs but are also unhealthy and unsightly. Most people think that the dampness is coming from outside, but that is often not true. In reality, moisture is caused inside the house by evaporation in the kitchen and bathroom. The use of highly insulating building materials greatly reduces ventilation which means that active ventilation is now a necessity. It is therefore important to check the indoor climate in order to ensure a healthy living environment. The device investigates the indoor climate and warns of the creation of mold and dew through programmable minimum and maximum alarm settings.
