Description
In order to make branch lines more attractive, the German Federal Railways introduced the new "Citybahn" train type in the local traffic in 1984. For this purpose, 25 n-wagons (silverlingen) were made with a modern interior and also painted in pure orange/pebble gray. This striking color dress also received ten 218 series locomotives.
