User & Safety Instructions 1402780 IR control window FLIR IRW-4C Compatible with (diagnostics accessories) FLIR
Description
Opening electrical cabinets for thermographic inspections and visual inspection of components during operation is hazardous as personnel may be exposed to potentially life-threatening arc arcing. To improve safety, an infrared window from FLIR can now be installed as a protective shield between people and the live equipment. This means that employees are better protected and control cabinets no longer need to be opened.
Easy to Set Up
Thanks to the same dimensions as commercial pipes, FLIR IR inspection windows can be mounted easily and securely:
Only one hole required for each window
Only a simple PIRma-Lock™ threaded ring needs to be tightened
The opening is broken out with American standard tool
Reliability of PIRma-Lock™
The proven lock nut as a groundbreaking concept for the FLIR-screw ring of the infrared window:
Teeth on the inside of the wall provide for a firm, tight grip
Automatic grounding of metal components
No screwing holes needed, which can later wear out
Folding lid for quick access
Simple fastening screw fixes the fixed lid of the infrared window:
Simple opening for direct scanning
Will not fall, confuse or lose
Smudge-proof label on the inside
Broadband crystal infrared window
Lens unit in a robust, anodized aluminum frame for indoor and outdoor use:
Permeable for short, medium and long-wave infrared radiation
Allows inspection with daylight images and fusion functions
Permeable for laser pointer and illumination
Greater productivity and faster return on investment
Significantly shorter inspection time while at the same time more efficient assessments according to NFPA 70 E guidelines
Only one instead of three people required
No heavy personal protective equipment is necessary
Many of the arcing factors are switched off
FLIR-Quality
Conforms to UL, CSA, IEC, and IEEE standards and guidelines
Check for stability against arc flashover, vibrations and extreme moisture
