Homematic IP Wireless Socket Test function HmIP-PSM-CH-2

Detect - and switch off the power guzzlers
Integrate existing electrical devices into your Smart home solution and measure their power consumption. Simply install the Homematic IP switch measurement socket.

As part of the Homematic IP Smart home system, you can use the switch measuring socket to control any electrical device and measure its energy consumption – from the TV set to the coffee machine to the Smart home lighting: Grouped together, individually automated, via Homematic IP buttons and remote controls, via voice command, directly on the device or via smartphone. In addition to an increased level of comfort, the Homematic IP switch socket also makes saving you electricity costs as easy as it doesn't switch on appliances and Smart home lighting unless you need them. On the other hand, you can find out at a glance how much power the individual device uses. You can detect power guzzlers and take action immediately.

Installation
Setting up the system is very simple: You plug the switch socket into a socket and then add this via the APP to your Homematic IP system. Done.

Current measurement function
The integrated measuring device determines the power consumption between 0 and 3000 watt. Thereby, it offers a measurement resolution in 0.01 watt steps and a maximum measurement deviation of +/- 0.03 watt. With this high accuracy even the small consumers and even the standby consumption can be measured. All values are clearly displayed in the Homematic IP APP.

Smart highlight
For a smart room climate solution, this mains socket comes with Homematic IP wall thermostat. This means that if you connect an electric heater to the switch socket you can precisely control the room temperature.

Tip
Control the switch-measuring-socket via voice command - and thus the respective electrical device. With the Homematic IP skill for Amazon Alexa.

Switch connected devices on or off at any time and from anywhere:
The switching measurement socket from Homematic IP can be controlled by wireless button, voice control or via the Homematic IP APP. And quite incidentally, the power consumption of connected electrical devices is also measured.

THE INTELLIGENT SOCKET FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
Almost all conventional electrical appliances are switched as desired - via Homematic IP buttons and remote controls, via voice command, directly on the device or via smartphone, whether at home or while traveling. For example, floor lamps, radios, humidifiers, fans or even devices with higher output such as electric heaters can be individually controlled. This means that the devices can be adapted to everyday life and can be switched on and off automatically at any desired time or depending on the sunrise or sunset.

POWER CONSUMPTION UNDER CONTROL
No unnecessary energy is wasted through the measuring function, because the consumption values and costs of connected electrical appliances are over APP. This quickly identifies 'energy guzzlers' in the home and only switches devices on when they are needed. The high level of measurement accuracy also allows the switching measurement socket to be easily integrated into individual programming so that devices can be automatically switched on or off at Hohem or low power consumption. An additional plus offers the low standby current consumption, WAS makes the switch measuring socket especially energy-saving.

SIMPLY START
The installation is done very easily by plugging in a standard plug socket - done! The switch-measure socket can be installed in every socket in the house. Thanks to the compact design the device does not block any surrounding plug sockets

"ALEXA, TURN OFF THE TV"
The switch socket can also be easily operated from the sofa – very easily by voice command with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

EXTENSION OF RANGE
Can be used optionally for extending the range of the radio signal.
