User & Safety Instructions 2841371 LINDY 39527 KVM changeover switch VGA 1920 x 1200 Pixel
Description
A KVM switch gives the user the possibility to control several computers via a single console (keyboard, mouse and display) in quick access.
The 16-port KVM Switch Combo provides such a hardware solution for up to 16 computers with VGA-connection for the monitor and USB- or PS/2-connection for mouse and keyboard and thus offers the ideal platform for system administrators, who want to control their computers and servers from a central location.
The 19" switch occupies only one height unit in a 19"-rack. It supports screen resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, for optimal overview and detail at the same time, for example when using the switch in media or graphic design environments. It offers 3 simple switching options between the connected computer systems: Via keyboard hotkeys, via keys on the front of the device or via on-screen display menu.
The local console is connected via one VGA and two USB ports. A daisy-chain connector can be used to cascade up to 8 KVM switches of the "Combo" series to securely and password-protected control a total of up to 128 computer systems. The ideal solution, for example, for the control of large-scale transport or logistics hubs or monitoring centers. The administrator can access all functions via a simple on-screen menu while the LEDs on the front panel of the device show which of the connected computers are online and which are currently active and thus ensure permanent control and monitoring.
The connected computer systems as well as entire KVM switches can be easily replaced or removed from the scenario thanks to support for hot-plugging*. This enables maintenance or reconfiguration without the need for a complete shutdown of the system and all connected computers - very important for high-availability applications such as data centers or traffic control systems.
The computer systems are connected to the 8 system ports on the rear of the Combo by means of special system cable (not included in the delivery).
