Description
NiteCore NU20 Classic Rechargeable Headlamp - The NiteCore NU20 (2016) and NU25 (2017) launched a new era of ultra-light outdoor pen and were praised by fans and professional media. The NU20 Classic continues this heritage and now features an ultra-efficient UHE LED that combines traditional design with advanced LED technology for enhanced performance. The UHE LED, a new series of LEDs introduced by NiteLab after the UHI line, represents NiteLabs' ground-breaking development of ultra-high-efficiency LEDs, which were developed especially for high-performance devices such as spur pen. It offers improved efficiency per watt and provides a brighter, more energy-efficient and longer-lasting user experience.
The NU20 CLASSIC is the latest member of the NU-series by NiteCore and is characterized by an extremely simple and light design. In fact, the lamp weighs only 38 grams and is therefore Ideal for various outdoor activities such as trail running, night hikes, camping and more. Thanks to the UHE-LED and the versatile optical lens system the head lamp delivers a maximum light output of 360 lumen and achieves a range of up to 109 meters, WAS corresponds to an increase of 35% as compared to the previous generation. Designed for comfort, it has a soft light with soft light transitions that are comfortable for the eyes even during extended use. Besides the primary white light, the NU20 Classic also has an additional white and red light. This additional CRI LED (20 lumen) illuminates nearby areas with particularly rapid color. Colour Rendering Index (CRI) means color rendering index, with a maximum value of 100. The higher the index, the Heller are the illuminated objects. The NU20 Classic has a CRI index of >90. The additional red LED provides up to 13 lumens for maintaining night vision, e.g., while observing wildlife, observing stars, in emergencies and night recordings. The primary LED has 4 light levels and a SOS and Beacon function, while the CRI LED has 1 mode. The red LED has 2 modes and also a flashing function. In addition, the NU20 Classic is equipped with a highly efficient constant current circuit and the constantly bright beam without flashing guarantees a pleasant viewing experience.
The NU20 Classic can be operated easily via two switches on the top of the lamp. The lockout function prevents you from turning on the lamp accidentally. The casing is made of polycarbonate and the lamp is waterproof according to IP66 and has a fall-proof of 1 meters. The supplied head band is light and has reflective and luminescent properties in the dark. The NU21 is powered by a built-in Li-Ion battery (500 mAh) that is fully charged in less than 1.5 hours using the USB-C port and the included USB-C charging cable. The lamp also has 4 power indicators to indicate the remaining battery power.
With the white light the rechargeable Li-ion battery (500 mAh) has a life of 2 hours (turbo), 5 hours (high), 7 hours (Medium) and 97 hours (low). The lamp has 360 lumens (turbo), 200 lumens (high), 38 lumens (Medium) and 1 lumens (low). The maximum beam range of white light is 109 meters and the maximum light intensity is 2963 candela.
The CRI-LED has a 20 lumen output and the runtime is 7 hours. The maximum light range is 7 meters and the maximum light intensity is 13 candela.
The red LED has a running time of 12 hours (high) and 53 hours (low). The lamp has 13 lumen (high) and 1 lumen (low). The maximum light range is 5 meters and the maximum light intensity is 5 candela.
