Description
The touch-screen viscometer measures any liquid by means of the mechanical resistance of any liquid that acts in the opposite direction of the rotation of a spindle. This results in a torque that is detected by the viscometer with touch screen and converted to a viscosity value. With an accuracy of ±1.0 %, the Viscometer with touch screen is a very precise measuring instrument despite the high measuring range of 1 … 2,000,000 mPa*s. With the immersion resistance sensor on the Viscometer, the temperatures of the liquids to be tested can be measured between 0 and 100 °C.
This Viscometer with touch-screen is used, for example, in the quality control of engine oils. Engine oils change their viscosity according to temperature. This is where the rotary viscometer is used. Thanks to the timer function, the viscometer can work independently over the period set by the operator. Meanwhile, the measured data are transferred from the viscometer via the RS232 interface to a PC. A software for the viscometer with touch screen can then display the temperature course and also the viscosity progression graphically and in tabular form. A printer can also be connected directly to the viscometer with touch-screen, in order to print the respective measurement value.
The Viscometer with touch-screen can be adapted to different environments. The viscometer can therefore be leveled over the height-adjustable feet so that the measuring spindle is always vertically positioned in the Medium to be measured. There is a spirit level on the head of the viscometer for this purpose. The viscometer can also be adjusted to a height of approx. 25 cm in order to position the spindle appropriately.
