PCE Instruments PCE-RVI 10 Viscometer

Precise viscosity meter with touch screen, temperature sensor, laboratory stand, measurement range up to 2,000,000 MPa·S, 5 different attachable spindles, for measuring the viscosity of liquids, RS232 interface. The viscosity meter measures the mechanical resistance of any liquid acting in the opposite direction to the rotational movement of a spindle. This results in a torque that is detected by the viscosity meter and converted to a viscosity value. With an accuracy of ±1.0 %, the viscosity meter is a very precise measuring instrument despite the high measuring range of 1 … 2,000,000 MPa*s. The immersion resistance temperature sensor on the viscosity gauge can be used to measure the temperatures of the liquids to be tested between 0 and 100 °C. This viscosity meter is used, for example, in the quality control of motor oils. Engine oils vary their viscosity according to temperature. This is exactly where the rotary viscometer is used. Thanks to the timer function, the rotational viscometer can work independantly over the time set by the operator. During this time, the measurement data from the rotational viscometer are transferred to a PC via the RS232 interface. A software for the rotational viscometer can then display the temperature course and also the viscosity course graphically and in tabular form. A printer can also be connected directly to the viscosity meter to print out the respective measured value. The viscosity meter can be adapted to different environments. The viscosity meter can be leveled via the height-adjustable feet so that the measuring spindle is always perpendicular to the medium to be measured. To help with this, there is a bubble level on the head of the rotating viscometer. The tester can also be adjusted in height by approx. 25 cm from the viscosity gauge to position the spindle appropriately.
