Dew point / dew point temperature The dew point temperature is defined as the temperature at which the current water vapor content in the air is the maximum (100% relative humidity). The dew point temperature is thus a variable independant of the current temperature. One way to measure the dew point temperature is to cool metal until the surface is covered with water vapor. Then the temperature of the metal is the dew point temperature. In the most common measuring method, a damp (wrapped with a damp cloth) is hung next to a dry thermometer. The wet thermometer indicates the dew point temperature. Together with the current temperature, you can also calculate the relative humidity. Our moisture meter does this automatically. Relative / absolute humidity in % or g/m³ The term "relative humidity" refers to the relative degree of saturation of the air, i.e. the percentage of the maximum saturation quantity of water in the air at this temperature. Scientifically defined "relative humidity" is the ratio of the water vapor partial pressure to the saturation vapor pressure of the expression air does not occur in the definition, the relative humidity is therefore completely independant of the available amount of nitrogen or oxygen. The saturation vapor pressure of water vapor is the same in vacuum as in hohem. To express whether air is dry or moist, the "relative humidity" is far more meaningful than the absolute humidity in grams of water per kilogram of air. At a certain volume, the humidity can also be specified in absolute g/m³.

Description

Measuring device for relative and absolute humidity [%] and [g/m³], room temperature, dew point by means of external sensor The measuring device for relative [%] and absolute [g/m³] air humidity impresses through its simple handling and high accuracy. With this humidity meter you can determine the room climate (room temperature, relative humidity) as well as the external temperature sensor included in the delivery, the surface temperature of walls or products. As additional information, the hygrometer indicates the dew point (dew point temperature). In addition, the tester calculates and displays the absolute humidity in g/m³. So you can determine all relevant parameters with only one moisture meter. The range of application is widely spread. The measuring instrument is used in the construction sector as well as in the food sector or in product development in industry. The test device is supplied factory calibrated when ordered (without test certificate). Of course, you can also have it calibrated in every accredited test laboratory according to DIN ISO. Of course, we can also do this for you (also for re-calibration, e.g. annually or depending on the specifications in your in-house ISO test manual).
