Variant of rail bus BR 798 of DB in Epoch IV. With the models of the legendary rail bus VT 98/VS 98 of the German Railways, PIKO offers a vehicle tuned perfectly to the use on main and branch lines with many highlights. Power unit and control wagon can be coupled with each other via a conducting short coupling kinematics. The illumination functions of both vehicles, including the lamps above the driver's cab, can be switched separately. In spite of the constructional equipment of the drive and control car, a clear view through the passenger compartments is possible. The railcar can also be used prototypical set for carrying individual goods wagons. For easy digitization, the railcar has a PluX22 interface and is prepared for retrofitting sound with the highest possible loudspeaker.
