Description
The BR 101 in the design of the DB AG in epoch V. With the implementation of the 101 series in the 1:160 scale, PIKO has made a perfect match for the external design of the three-phase locomotive. Details like the single-arm pantographs of the type DSA 350 were reproduced in filigree. The sharply engraved bogies behind the deep down aprons round off the visual impression of the locomotive excellently. The model features a powerful mid-range motor for propulsion. Two brass flywheel masses on the motor shaft create excellent synchronization. The locomotive also has two diagonally arranged wheels with retraction tires for good traction. Apart from the headlights in LED technology, the model also has a driver's cab lighting. In the sound version the BR 101 has a suitable PIKO sound decoder ex-factory.
