Model kit of a Trabant 601, the third and most frequently built model of the Trabant series, which was manufactured from the year 1964 at the VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke Zwickau. Duroplast, a plastic and cotton-based material, is used for bodywork planking. An air-cooled two-cylinder two-stroke engine with an unmistakable noise setting drove the 601, which initially offered 23 hp, then 26 hp from 1969.
