Description
Electric locomotive RH 4/4 II 11108 "Swiss Express" of the Swiss Federal Railways.
On May 22, 1975, the train category "Swiss Express" of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) was introduced together with the commissioning of the Heisterbergline and existed until 1982. This category replaced the earlier city high-speed trains. They were then considered to be SBB parade trains and served the most important transport axis Geneva – St. Gallen. At the time the trains were covered by eight Re 4/4 II, which was specially equipped for that purpose. Unfortunately only the 11108 and 11109 are still reminiscent of the color dress of the time.
With the Re 4/4 II 11108, we announce one of the most popular locomotives. The "cream cuts", which are still in use until 2021, as they are also affectionately known, are now parked in Olten. There, she is waiting for her further use.
