Description
The Altivar ATS490 soft starter is designed to gently start and stop asynchronous motors from 208 to 690V. With an efficiency of 99.5%, special application functions and complete monitoring with data reporting the ATS490 enables an advanced motor control. Certified cyber security, Safe Torque Off, and health monitoring capabilities increase uptime, reduce operating costs, and simplify project planning. The ATS490 provides comprehensive system monitoring, including the engine, application, power and energy, with an accuracy of over 95%. The ATS490 has a native Ethernet port for Modbus TCP or Ethernet/IP and a serial Modbus port. The Altivar ATS490 soft starter meets the requirements of applications such as pumps, fans, compressors, conveyor belts, mixers, Cutting machines, grinding machines and crushers. ATS490 conforms to IEC/EN 60947-4-2 and certifications cULus, UKCA, RCM, CCC, EAC and DNV. There are many accessories available, such as an IP65 mounting kit to attach the graphics display to the control cabinet door and communication modules to extend connectivity to other protocols. The packaging is made from recycled cardboard and contains less disposable plastic. The ATS490 soft starters must be mounted vertically in a housing. The built-in and innovative features of the ATS490 improve the competitiveness, operational resilience and sustainability of the equipment. The ATS490 soft starter reduces the total cost of ownership and operates even the most demanding applications.
