Schneider Electric CEGCNV1PRG PLC software

This software license is part of the EcoStruxure Control Engineering series for industrial automation that is compatible with Schneider Electric and other vendors' PLCs and PACS. EcoStruxure Control Engineering Converter, formerly PLC Converter, is an automatic code conversion tool to support modernization and migration projects. The CEGCNV1PRG license allows a control program to be converted from a selected source program to a selected target program type. The tool allows users to automatically convert control logic to support a new type of PLC, saving time and money during a modernization or migration process. This tool provides a number of different conversion paths that support different PLC make and model both as source and target code. This also includes the conversion including older to modern systems as well as modern to modern systems. It is a cloud-based application that can be accessed from anywhere via a simple web browser and user login, so no installation is required. A private server option is also available for users with strict security requirements. This software tool is intended for end users, system integrators and original equipment manufacturers from all industries, such as automotive, energy, food and beverage, packaging, water, Wastewater, production and infrastructure. The tool supports many older PLC types as source code and can generate modern systems such as EcoStruxure Control Expert and EcoStruxure Machine Expert. It helps to improve productivity in managing the control software lifecycle, helping to reduce development time and costs during the development and/or maintenance of control applications. This tool, based on GLIPS technology, brings software engineering technologies from IT and embedded software into industrial automation. This formalizes development processes and increases productivity, quality, efficiency and maintainability.
