Thus, the MKE 440 masters a dynamic range from the most delicate whispers to roaring-loud rock music. The depth filter reduces both structure-borne sound and low-frequency wind noises. The MKE 440 offers an extra long operating time of more than 100 hours with a pair of AAA batteries, whereby it still brings its full sound power even at low battery level.In principle, microphones are susceptible to structure-borne noise, such as when moving the camera on which they are mounted. Therefore the MKE 440 is equipped with a specially developed, patented suspension. It is precisely tuned to the length and weight of the directional microphones and provides for an optimum protection against structure-borne sound. The rubber elements of the suspension are mounted on the inside of the protective micro-mesh.The micro mesh stainless steel wind shield reduces wind noise and ensures that the fine high frequencies are not lost.The MKE 440 is protected against wind noise by a fine-mesh stainless steel mesh. For outdoor use, we recommend the MZH440 fur wind protection as an accessory.A fine, very stable and resistant braid made of stainless steel protects the microphones and reduces wind noise. In contrast to a normal foam wind protection, it does not affect the clarity of the treble range. In this way, the sound quality remains unchanged. In addition, it protects against electromagnetic interference.
