SPAX 0537000500505 Wood screw 5 mm 50 mm T-Star Plus Stainless steel A2 500 pc(s)

The special force attack – T-STAR plus – is a so-called Torx inside. Compared to low-fitting drive types such as Philips or cross-head, the attack surface of our T-STAR plus is increased to a multiple, and the T-STAR plus bits are always optimally positioned in the screw head. The resulting best possible, precision-fitting power transfer from screwdriver to screw by T-STAR plus enables a simple and extremely fast working, and much more efficient than with all other drives.
Unlike the head of the plate, which derives the tensile forces of the screw from its large underside to a larger surface of the wood, the narrow cylinder head does not have to fulfill this task at all. With its size, which offers only the force attack with T-STAR plus space, the cylinder head can be sunk completely in the wood and thus offers the possibility of realizing screw connections that are largely invisible very easily. The tensile forces, which act on a screw in timber construction, are deflected completely into the wood via the full thread of the cylinder head screws. If cylinder head screws are installed horizontally – for example as terrace screws in a wooden terrace – they must only be screwed in flush with the surface, so that no water accumulates in the screw hole and damages the wood.
The fixing thread is a two-part thread of some SPAX screws. It consists of a main thread which is inserted in the substructure and the lower head thread. This lower head thread, which is separated from the main thread by a short piece of smooth shaft, ensures that the top board on the substructure is securely maintained under all weather conditions. The smooth shaft between the threaded parts records the movements of the dieters.
The CUT tip of our SPAX screws allows our wood screws to be screwed in extremely quickly and effectively without the need for drilling. The arrow-shaped CUT tip together with the wave profile reduces a splitting and tearing of the wood. Furthermore, the CUT tip enables a very exact and non-slip attachment of the screw tip itself on smooth surfaces.
The abbreviation A2 on our stainless steel screws is based on the alloy of HER steel. A stands for austenite, a mixture of iron, carbon and the alloy elements chrome, nickel and molybdenum. The 2 (1-5) indicates the degree of alloy, i.e. the content of chrome and nickel.
Screws in the stainless steel version A2 offer a high level of protection against corrosion and medium strength. Low, on the other hand, is their resistance to seawater and acids. For this reason, they are screwed in outdoor areas that are far from the coast and perform their service there for a long time and reliably.
