The 7-16 series (DIN) are widely used coaxial plug connections in the mobile field. These insensitive plug connections have a screw cap and are waterproof. Depending on the version, they can be used up to a frequency of 7.5 GHz. The connectors of the 7-16 series have a wave resistance of 50 Ω. Connector variants are available for flexible, semi-flex, semi-rigid and corrugated cable. Cables are connected by soldering, crimping or terminals. These plug connections are used in particular in mobile communications. In addition, they are also used for testing purposes where vibration and weather resistance are required. The special design of the 7-16 connectors ensures excellent results with return loss (VSWR) and intermodulation resistance. 7-16 plug connections are suitable for the transmission of high power at high frequencies.

These connectors fulfill the cross-tightness in the plug face between the plug and the socket when connected in accordance with IP 68. This protection class has been defined as a flat rate for the series 7-16. There may be deviations for individual plug connections. In case of doubt, please ask.
