Description
Revolutionary WLAN technology
AirFiber(R) is a new and truly revolutionary point-to-point WLAN platform from Ubiquiti Networks.
Housed in a compact, high-efficiency form factor, airFiber delivers incredible wireless gigabit performance, low latency, and long range. AirFiber heralds a new era of wireless technology ideal for carrier backhaul, large enterprise deployments, or public security applications.
Efficient design
Every detail of the airFiber was designed and developed by Ubiquitis R&D team. From the silicon chip to the innovative architecture of the dual antenna, the airfiber has been designed to deliver superior throughput with efficiency. The airfiber was specially developed to create high-performance backhauls.
Plug-and-play implementation
Based on the innovative and intuitive airOS(R), the airFiber configuration interface enables a fast implementation. The mechanical design allows quick and easy installation by one person. An installation team consisting of two people can easily install and set up an airfiber connection.
Designed for freedom
The airFiber works in the worldwide, license-free 24 or 5 GHz frequencies. Anyone around the world can purchase and operate an airfiber without special permits or additional license costs. Users are free to install and operate the airfiber at virtually any desired location (in compliance with the relevant national regulations).
Best-in-class performance and range
THE INVICTUS silicon chip dramatically improves WLAN performance. The AF-24HD model supports the high modulation rates of up to 256QAM, which are required for high data rates of up to 2 Gbps.
Robust mechanical design
According to the test result of an independant laboratory, airFiber meets the requirements of MIL-STD-810G, a strict US military standard that defines a wide range of demanding environmental conditions. The mechanical structure was also subjected to a vibration test, with an extended version of IEC 60068-2-6 as the basis, an environmental standard of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission).
