Description
The GX Tank 140 is compatible with both current sensors (4 to 20 mA) and voltage sensors (0 to 10 V). The GX device is connected via USB, through which the GX tank is also supplied with power. No additional power cables are necessary.
The wiring of the tank transmitter is kept as simple as possible: Two of the four inputs provide a 24 V power supply for the transmitter. The other two channels require an external power supply, for which a mains connection with secured outputs is available.
The upper and lower limits are configurable to allow the use of transmitters that only provide part of the scale, e.g. 0 to 5 V.
In order to obtain a stable measurement value, the measured values are attenuated with a mean value formation. Attenuation can be configured between 1 and 60 seconds.
Defective sensors and wiring problems are detected. An alarm is triggered when the values are out of range.
For maritime applications, the GX device can transfer these tank levels to other displays, such as an MFD, via the NMEA 2000 network.
