Description
The Cyrix-Li-ct functionality corresponds to that of the Cyrix-ct.
The Cyrix-Li-ct connects a lead-acid starter battery and a LiFePO4 battery:
- If the "Charge Disconnect" output of the VE. Bus BMS is high and
- If it measures 13.4 V (or 26.8 V) or more at its current terminals.
The Cyrix switches off immediately:
- When its control output reaches "free floating" (open circuit), a cell overvoltage
Or a cell overtemperature and/or
- If the battery voltage drops below 13.2 V.
Start Assist function: A short negative pulse closes the relay for 30 seconds (see figure on page 2).
A built-in TVS diode limits the peak voltage that can occur when the Cyrix suddenly occurs due to a
Switches off over-voltage or over-temperature.
The Cyrix battery coupler is a high-performance microprocessor-controlled relay that automatically switches batteries in parallel when one of them has reached a specified voltage (indicating that the battery is being charged) and that disconnects the batteries if the voltage drops below the maintenance voltage value (indicating that: one or both batteries are being discharged). Cyrix battery couplers are excellently suited for replacing separator diodes. Its main feature is that there is virtually no loss of voltage, so that the output voltage of the AC generators or battery chargers does not need to be increased.
