Too high a humidity level in homes can cause not only millions worth of damage but is also unhealthy. In addition the damage looks unsightly. Most people think that the dampness is coming from outside, but that is often not true. In reality, moisture is caused inside the house by evaporation in the kitchen and bathroom. The use of high heat-retention building materials greatly reduces air circulation through walls, which can only be corrected by positive ventilation. It is therefore important to check the indoor climate in order to ensure a healthy living environment.
