Description
These condensers are used in the intermediate circuit applications of power electronics e.g. in conversion technology, where they are increasingly displacing the currently used electrolytic capacitors owing to increasing electrical requirements.
They are designed on the basis of a low-loss polypropylene film and show a higher AC-load carrying capacity at high frequencies as well as low power loss/intrinsic heating than the comparable electrolytic capacitors.
Moreover, it is also characterised by:
- Very high volume capacity
- High rated voltage per element
- Very low loss factor (ESR)
- Very high insulation resistor
- Excellent selfcorrective properties
- Hight life expectancy
- Un-poled setup
- Excellent contact-proof connection configurations
