Description

Safe standstill detection for 3- and 1-phase electric motors, e.g. for the release of safety door releases on machine tools or for the activation of holding brakes.

The standstill monitor UG 6946 is suitable for detecting the standstill of all electric motors that generate a voltage caused by retentivity when they are run out.
The UG 6946 measures this voltage induced by residual magnetization at the winding terminals. For this purpose, 2 redundant measuring channels (L2 against L1 and L3 against L1) are used. Goes the induction voltage
At both channels simultaneously against 0, this means that the motor stops and the output relay is activated for the device. In order to be able to adapt the device to a wide range of motors and applications, the voltage threshold U below which the UG 6946 detects the standstill can be set. The time period can also be set.
Must be undershot for the U at so that the standstill is finally detected and the output circuit is enabled (standstill time ts).
In addition, the device detects wire breaks at the measuring inputs L1 / L2 / L3. If a wire break is detected, the output relay goes to the safe position (as with the engine running). This status is saved and can be deleted by jumpers of terminals X3 - X2. In addition, the measuring signals of both channels are constantly compared. If the signals are different for longer than approx. 2.5 s, the simultaneity error is triggered. This error is reset if both channels receive sufficient signal voltages at the same time.
Terminals X1-X2 are available for a feedback circuit for monitoring externally connected contactors for contact amplification (NC contact). If the feedback circuit is not required, the must be
