Description

Fiberlogic ASA+AF is an advanced filament designed for demanding technical and industrial applications. It combines the resistance of ASA to UV radiation, moisture and high temperatures with the extraordinary strength of aramide fibers (Kevlar®). This makes the material ideal for use anywhere where the finished printed part needs to withstand intensive use, impacts and long-term outdoor use.

The addition of aramide fibers increases the mechanical resistance of printing parts, improves their durability and reduces the risk of crumbling and cracking under load. Moreover, filament types exhibit good coat stability (adhesion) and lower shrinkage for printing larger models whilst ensuring high dimensional stability. The characteristic matte, raw surface finish gives the pressure parts a professional appearance, which is typical for composite materials.

ASA+AF Filament retains all the advantages of classic ASA while providing even greater resistance to wear and mechanical damage. The material has a reduced friction coefficient, WAS ensures increased abrasion resistance (tribological wear resistance). Its resistance to UV radiation and weather conditions makes the material ideal for outdoor applications such as automotive parts, drone components, device housings or components that are exposed to impacts and changing temperatures. The filament is temperature-resistant up to 94°C.

To achieve optimum pressure parameters, it is recommended to use a closed, heated pressure chamber and a hardened steel nozzle that is resistant to the abrasion caused by aramide fibers.
