Description

STRENGTH AND RESISTANCE

PA12+GF15 is another PA12 nylon derivative available from Fiberlogy.
It was reinforced with 15% glass fibers (GF) in this way the strength, rigidity, thermal and chemical resistance was increased significantly in comparison to pure nylon. PA12 + GF15 is characterized by a rigidity of 3.6 GPA and a temperature resistance of up to approximately 170 °C.

Unlike nylon with carbon fibers, this filament offers greater flexibility and is therefore Ideal suitable for applications which operate under variable loads and are subject to impacts.

The very low shrinkage ensures high dimensional stability in combination with a high strength. This filament does not require a heated construction space.

However, due to the high abrasion resistance, hardened steel or rubber nozzles should be used for printing to avoid excessive wear.

Applications
- AUTOMOTIVE: Components in the engine compartment, vehicle components housing, air inlets, liquid filler
- MEDICINE: Prostheses, medical devices
- SPORTS: Accessories, protectors, Airsoft elements
- INDUSTRY: Spare parts, small series, utility models

Hints

Wear gloves (the possibility of micro-damage on the skin). Use a dust mask and safety glasses when working.

System requirements

  • The material has very abrasive properties. Use of a hardened steel nozzle or a rubber nozzle is required.
