Description
Field buses transfer comparatively small amounts of data quickly and reliably over long distances. However, due to many older installations, there is a wide variety of protocols and standards that are used worldwide. The following table helps you find the right high-quality fiber modules for your plants.
Ideal for real-time control networks that extend over long distances
Advantages:
· Easy monitoring with signal strength measurement outputs and LEDs to indicate the status of the connection and data transmission
· Fail-safe communication through integrated ring redundancy function
· Reliable operation thanks to 24 volt power supply
New generation: Electrical/optical interface converter for PROFIBUS fieldbus networks; repeater function; for quartz glass fiber optic cables; approval for Ex zone 2; extended temperature and humidity range
Port type and number
2 x optical: 4 BFOC 2.5 sockets (STR); 1 x electrical: 9-pin sub-D, female, pin assignment according to EN 50170 part 1
