Kingston IronKey Keypad 200 USB stick Retail 32 GB Blue IKKP200/32GB USB A (USB 3.2 1st gen)

The Kingston IronKey Keypad 200 series includes operating system-independent, hardware-encrypted USB sticks with USB-A and USB-C® ports with alphanumeric keyboard for user-friendly PIN access.

The KP200 has an XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption. Moreover, it is certified as per FIPS 140-3 level 3 (pending) for military security and has improvements, which further raise the bar for data protection. The circuits are covered with a special epoxy layer that makes it virtually impossible to remove the components without damaging them, thus preventing the rugged epoxy from attacking the semiconductor components. The USB stick is designed in such a way that it warns the owner of any manipulations. It also protects against brute-force password attacks and BadUSB-protection with digitally signed firmware The alphanumeric keyboard is coated with a polymer layer that protects the keys and hides the use of the keys by analyzing the fingerprints on the keys.

The KP200 has a built-in battery, which enables the stick to be unlocked first without software and then connected to every device that supports a USB mass storage of the type A. This provides users with the highest degree of flexibility for different platform types and operating systems.

The Multi-PIN (Admin/User) option allows you to set up an easily remembered but hard to guess alphanumeric PIN for admin or user using the keypad. The administrator can restore a user PIN and enable access to the stick, if the user PIN has been forgotten or if the stick has been locked after the maximum number of 10 user login attempts have been reached. If both the Admin and User PIN are enabled, the KP200 locks the User PIN after 10 failed login attempts. If the admin PIN is entered incorrectly 10 times in a row, the brute-force attack protection deletes the stick cryptographically, destroys the data forever and resets it.

The stick also offers two levels of write protection modes – a global mode that can be set by the administrator, and a session-only mode that can be set by the user. Read-only modes can protect the stick from malware on untrusted systems. In addition, the administrator can load content and set the global read-only mode so that the user can access the data but cannot make any changes.

FIPS 140-3 level 3 (pending) certified
KP200 now meets the new security specifications FIPS 140-3 Level 3 published by NIST for military purposes. This is an extended version of the FIPS 140-2 specifications, which further improves the security functions and tamper protection of the USB stick. It includes XTS AES 256-bit encryption as well as protection from brute-force and BadUSB attacks with digitally signed firmware. The circuits are covered with a special epoxy layer that makes it virtually impossible to remove the components without damaging them, thus preventing the rugged epoxy from attacking the semiconductor components.

Independent of operating system and device
Since the KP200 is equipped with a rechargeable battery, the key pad can be used for unlocking the USB stick, without software is necessary. It can then be connected to any system that supports USB-A or UCmass storage devices. This provides users with maximum flexibility for different platform types and
Operating systems.

Multi-PIN option
Users can set up a user mode or an admin/user mode. Admin can be used to restore a user PIN and allow access to the USBStick, if the user PIN has been forgotten, or if the USB stick has been locked after the maximum number of 10 user login attempts have been reached.

Global and session-only read modes (write protection)
Both the administrator and the user can set a session-based read-only mode to protect the USB stick from malware on untrusted systems. The administrator can also set a global read-only mode that places the USB stick in read-only mode until it is reset.
