Description

Similar to the MultiPlus-II, the Quattro-II is a combination of inverter and charger. In addition it can accept two AC inputs and automatically connect to the active source. This elegant solution offers numerous functions such as a true sine inverter, an adaptive charging function, hybrid power assist technology as well as several system integration options, for example 3-phase or split-phase operation as well as parallel operation.

The Quattro-II can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example, to a country-side power connection and a generator or also to two generators. The Quattro-II connects automatically to the active source. The main output ensures an uninterruptible functionality. If a power failure occurs or is connected to the country-side power or Generator current interrupted, the Quattro-II takes over the supply to the connected consumers. Switching takes place so fast (in less than 20 milliseconds) that an uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is ensured. The second output only provides current if there is AC power at one of the inputs of the Quattro-II. Consumers that are not permitted to discharge the battery, such as an air conditioning system or a water heater, can be connected to this output.

The Quattro-II prevents an AC source with a limited load capacity, such as a generator or a country power connection, from being overloaded. First, the battery charging process is automatically reduced if otherwise an overload occurs. Next, the energy from the battery increases the power of a generator or that of a land power supply.

Up to 6 Quattro-II can be connected in parallel in Hohem power requirement. 3-phase or split-phase operation is also possible, with which a practically unlimited power can be achieved.
