Description
Energy counters are typically used in an energy storage system to measure the performance and energy of the entire application at the distribution box and to minimize the import or export of energy to the grid. They can also be used to measure the output of a PV inverter or AC loads and display the data on GX devices such as the CerbGX or EkranGX and the VRM portal.
The Energy Meter calculates the power values of the individual phases and transmits these at a high rate via VE.Can or Ethernet.
It has built-in Ethernet and VE.Can connections for connection to an GX device and the split core current transformers allow simple and fast installation without changing the existing cabling.
The Energy Meter works immediately as a power meter in most systems (ready to use). A configuration (via VictronConnect) is only required for changing the function (power meter, PV inverter, AC power unit or AC load counter) and manual IP configuration instead of the standard DHCP.
Its data is displayed on an GX device such as the Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX, as well as in VictronConnect and our VRM portal.

Features
- Can measure up to 80 A per phase (but rated at 75 A)
- Modbus/UDP communication over Ethernet
- Split core current transformer for simple installation without changing the existing cabling
- Uses the vector registration method (the vectors of each phase L1, L2, and L3 are summed)
- The VM-3P75CT can be configured for four different roles in an GX device, such as the Cerbo GX or the Ecrano GX:
- 1. Can be used as a mains counter and as control input for an energy storage system (ESS)
- 2. For measuring the power of a PV inverter
- 3. For measuring the power of an AC generator
- 4. As an AC meter for measuring a special AC load circuit
- It offers two options for connecting to an GX device:
- 1. A wired Ethernet connection to a local network via the built-in Ethernet connection so that the GX device can reach it.
- 2. A wired VE.Can connection via the built-in VE.Can connection directly to the GX device
Scope of delivery
- Energy counter
- 3x Split-Core-current transformer
- 2x VE.Can terminating resistors
- User manual.
