The Scotch® 27 fiber optic cable tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 3,000 volts and has a temperature resistance of up to 130°C of insulation class B. It is therefore well suited for insulation of strong thermal, electrical components and also protective elements against heat radiation. Like all fiber glass bands, it is especially resistant against tearing and abrasion. This ensures a long functionality even at high mechanical stress such as in electric motors. Due to its elasticity, the insulating tape coated with a heat-hardened rubber adhesive fits perfectly on various surfaces. At the same time, the printable fabric structure ensures excellent absorption of resins and paints.
