Thermocouple connectors are particularly used where temperatures are to be measured and tested using thermocouples, whereby an important criterion is the portability of the meter or sensor. Due to the fact that all contacts are made of thermocouple material, it is possible to avoid possible measurement errors due to fluctuations in the ambient temperature. Therefore, there are no new thermal voltages at the connection points between the sensor, extension leads and the measuring device, which can falsify the measured value.
