Including a high-quality lens sun filter for the safe observation of sun spots, darkness and planetary transits.

The Polaris 102/460 impresses with its modern design and a brilliant picture quality. Especially the very short focal length of only 460mm, enables impressive wide-field observations of open star clusters and the Milky Way, but also of the Moon.

The high-performance achromatic large-field refractor in carbon-optics forms the heart of this telescope. The compact tube with 102mm lens diameter and 460mm focal length flows into a robust 2' eyepiece tube made of metal, which permits the use of 2.0'' eyepieces with even larger field of view. Supplied with an eyepiece adapter from 2'' (50.8 mm) to 1.25' (31.7 mm). Thus, the two most common eyepiece sizes can be used for this telescope. Two waiter eyepiece (25 and 4 mm) are also included in the set along with other extras. The solid EQ3 mounting and the height-adjustable aluminum stand form the basis for stable observations.

Due to its compact dimensions, this complete system is also ideally suited for traveling star-guaters. It can be easily disassembled and assembled and can be stowed away in the car to save space.
