Bürkert Control head 360161 8681 31.6 V G 1/4 Nominal width (details) 4 mm Single-acting 1 pc(s)

The type 8681 control head is optimized for decentralized automation of hygienic process valves. Through its universal adjustment it can be combined with all the conventional flaps, ball valves, single and double seat valves. In the case of distributed automation concepts, the control head takes over the complete pneumatic control, feedback and diagnostics function all the way to bus communication. The housing is characterized by good cleanability, practical IP protection and chemically resistant materials for use in hygienic process plants of the beverage, food and pharmaceutical industries. Depending on the process valve, up to 3 pneumatic drive chambers can be controlled independently of each other. The switching speeds for both directions of movement can be set separately. A built-in non-return valve prevents back pressure-related incorrect shifting of the process valves. The process valve switching positions are recorded via the inductive, analog-operated position sensor and reported back to the higher-level control. Up to 3 switching points can be set by means of the teach-in function by pressing a button or determined automatically by predefined Autotune functions. In addition, a 4. Switch position can be read in and reported via an external inductive proximity switch. The colored status display signals the respective switch position of the process valve or Diagnostic functions such as maintenance requirements or error states. Pilot valves are equipped with manual mechanical operation. With the unit closed, the patented magnetically coded manual operation allows the main drive to be switched from outside. Bus communication is possible with AS-Interface, IO-Link or bus/CANopen.
