Description

A RAID for all cases.
The use of two hard disks in the form of a RAID group is widespread and popular thanks to many of advantages. But if the benefits, has often left out. Because not every motherboard is equipped with a RAID controller and laptops there is usually per se out of the frame of the possibilities. Here Comes The ICY BOX IB-RD 3621 U3 to help and converts two 3.5" SATA hard disk effectively to a high-performance RAID group.

You have the choice between the modes JBOD, RAID 0, BIG and RAID1. So either higher speed, mirroring of data for more reliability, recognition of the HDDs as individual drives or detection of both hard disks as a large drive. In particular, Striping (RAID 0) is fired by the modern USB 3.0 connection - here are transfer rates up to 5 GBit per second. Lower operating temperatures, through the active cooling system in the form of a 6 cm large low-noise fan, from the hard drives with longer service life.

I have the pleasure - twice!
Two hard disks with the large 3.5" fit in this RAID enclosure. Available RAID modes are single, RAID 0, 1, large and single. Thus, this candidate already versatile and is suitable for all situations.

Name is the program
The casing is up on front and rear made from particularly light plastic. As in the case of a RAID group a lot of heat can occur, the housing on the back side of a fan supports.

Energy efficient
The IB-RD 3621 U3 is using an ON-OFF switch to the true energy saver. What is also good, fast data transfer via USB 3.0 with up to 5 Gbit/s. Hard disks can be very easily via Hot Swap and plug-and-Play, if desired.
