Kash 30L526 Toslink Digital Audio Cable [1x Toslink plug (ODT) - 1x Toslink plug (ODT)] 2.00 m Black gold plated connect

Fiber Optic Cable = TOSLINK is a standardised fiber-optic connection system for optical signal transmission in the range of about 20 Mbit/s. Wide dissemination of it by the use of the digital transmission of audio signals on consumer goods found, where it is used for example for transfer between components such as CD and DVD players and audio amplifiers. Used a fiber-optic cables (FOC) made of transparent plastic (PMMA or polycarbonate, short-POF) with 1 mm core diameter. The large diameter allows the radiation from light-emitting diodes with a pair of these molded focussing lens to - there are no laser diodes is necessary. POF have with the same diameter results in a lower bending radius, but a higher attenuation than glass fiber-optic cable, the range are therefore up to about 100 meters, convenient to about 10 meters is limited. The advantage of a fiber-optic connection in audio technology is that a potential separation of the device components is achieved and thus avoids earth loops. Also, fiber-optic insensitive to electric and magnetic interference injection. Furthermore, interference abstrahlungen through cable transmitted electrical digital signals can be avoided.
