National Geographic 114/500 Dobson Reflector telescope Azimuthal Dobson Magnification 25 up to 167 x

With a 114 mm opening, this compact telescope collects almost three times as much light as one with 76 mm. Thus smaller objects as well as finer details become visible on the moon and other planets. Due to the Dobson design, the telescope is very compact, quick to set up (it is pre-assembled and packed) and can be easily taken to a monitoring location. It is intuitive to use, without sacrificing stability. The integrated accessory shelf keeps eyepieces and the Barlow lens always within reach and the illuminated point finder makes it easier to find objects.

Please note that Newton type mirror telescopes are very good for astronomical observations on the starry sky, but not well suited for nature and landscape observations during the day. Therefore, we recommend lens telescopes for nature and landscape observation.
