Asus RT-AX89X AX6000 AiMesh Wi-Fi router 2.4 GHz 6000 MBit/s

The WLAN of a new generation
The growing number of networked personal and IoT devices has led to a general increase in network density that limits the current WiFi standard. The latest 802.11ax standard offers future-proof technologies, higher network efficiency, faster WLAN speeds, greater coverage and improved battery life for connected devices, and offers users a much better network experience.
WLAN with light speed
The RT-AX89X is a 8x8 dual-band WLAN router with 1024-QAM for significantly faster wireless connections. With a total network speed of about 6000Mbit/s – 1148Mbit/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 4804Mbit/s in the 5 GHz band – the RT-AX89X is 2.8x faster than 4x4 dual band routers that use the 802.11ac standard.
Designed for households with many end devices
With a revolutionary combination of OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology, 802.11ax technology delivers up to four times the network capacity and efficiency in high-traffic environments. The previous generation, 802.11ac WiFi was designed to handle only one device at a time on each network channel, which means inefficient use of available bandwidth. OFDMA support in the 802.11ax WiFi standard divides each channel into small sub-channels so that signals can be bundled from multiple devices* and transmitted simultaneously. This reduces latency and provides a smoother, more responsive WLAN experience.
A Wi-Fi that goes further
The RT-AX89X uses the latest 802.11ax WLAN standard with OFDMA technology. It offers a larger WLAN signal range and a better coverage by dividing each channel into smaller sub-channels. These sub-channels have a smaller bandwidth, with which you can cover a distance of up to 80%. The result is a better WLAN connection throughout the house.
Commercial security for your home network
The RT-AX89X has a lifetime, free license from AiProtection Pro powered by Trend Micro™ with automatic, regularly updated security signatures to protect your devices and personal data from Internet threats. This powerful security solution provides advanced parental controls, including the ability to block specific web pages and app types.
More LAN connections for more comfort
Eight Gigabit LAN connections make the RT-AX89X the perfect solution if you have several wired devices, such as NAS systems, PCs and switches. And if you want to organize a LAN party at home – the RT-AX89X makes it possible.
Ultra-fast wired connections
The RT-AX89X has two 10G ports, one Base-T and one SFP+ port. This means that both fiber and 10G copper connections are supported. Use the speeds advertised by the ISP or use your own 10G LAN network between the PCs and the NAS.
WLAN, which is as stable as a wired network
When you are far away from your router, it is usually difficult or impossible to enjoy a stable, wired network connection. With specially developed antennas, the RT-AX89X offers a high range and a stable signal, so that you have a reliable and smooth connection to play or work anywhere in your home.
Extreme quad-core power with 2.2GHz
The RT-AX89X has a high-end 2.2GHz quad-core CPU that is more powerful than many desktop processors. With its unbelievable performance, the RT-AX89X maximizes the throughput for an optimum network performance, accelerates the USB data transfer and much more.
A powerful Wi-Fi system for the whole house. Just as you imagine.
In most cases, the RT-AX89X is sufficient to supply your entire living area with fast and reliable WLAN. However, WLAN coverage can be influenced by many factors – room layout, building materials and even furniture! ASUS AiMesh is an innovative new router feature that solves these problems: It creates a complete WLAN network in the whole house with several ASUS routers. AiMesh is powerful, flexible and can use a mixture of different ASUS router models - so that you can continue to use your existing devices! AiMesh offers a time-saving option to control all routers centrally and enables seamless roaming throughout the entire network. AiMesh is the WLAN on which you can rely – for all your devices and at any time!
- Turn your ASUS router into a WLAN system for the whole house with a simple firmware update.
- a mix of your preferred models of selected ASUS routers
- creates a WLAN network with a single or multiple SSIDs
- All router functions can be used in the entire WLAN system
