GARDENA 08714-48 Axe 450 mm 1000 g Head weight 700 g

The small universal 1000 A from GARDENA is the right choice for different kinds of wood work. By its application-optimized head and blade geometry it is best suitable for the tracing and splitting of fresh and hard wood or also for removing root work. The well-balanced center of gravity lies close to the axe head and ensures increased impact force due to the correct weight distribution.

No matter how much strain the axe is, thanks to its unbreakable head and stem connection, it can withstand the load. At the end of the head there is a hammer area, which makes it very easy to effectively insert wedges made of wood, plastic or aluminum (no steel wedges) into a larger wooden shack. The hardened blade made of high-quality tool steel performs no interruptions when working with wood. This is also related to the special coating, which reduces friction and thus facilitates the penetration into the wood. Even resins do not stick so quickly through the coating. The axe has a great feel, which makes it feel good and safe in the hands. For safety the soft components at the shaft and the hook-shaped handle end (cow base) contribute, because they do not slip through the fingers.
