Ixxat 1.01.0331.42000 Canbridge NT 420 CAN bridge CAN bus 24 V DC 1 pc(s)

The CANbridge NT is available as CANbridge NT 420 with four CAN channels, two of which can be switched between CAN and CAN-FD.
The devices allow easy coupling of networks, even those with different bit rates or frame formats (11/29-bit identifiers). The bridges/routers have a powerful microcontroller that can perform message filtering, ID conversion and data multiplexing (e.g. for CAN-FD to CAN message conversion) even at bursts and high data rates without message loss.

Features
· four CAN channels, two channels can be switched between CAN and CAN-FD
· Easy coupling of CAN networks
- CAN WITH CAN FD
- different bit rates
- different frame formats (11/29-bit identifier), including message routing via mapping table
- Message filtering
- ID implementation
· Data multiplexing (e.g. for CAN-FD to CAN message conversion) even at bursts and high data rates without message loss
· Easy configuration with a Windows-based tool

Benefits
Easy coupling of CAN and CAN-FD systems and devices
Cost savings through simple wiring
Increase system expansion and use of tree/star topologies
Increased system reliability
Protection of the segments by galvanic insulation

Functional principle
In contrast to a CAN repeater that only translates the electrical signals, the bridge/router receives the messages completely and then sends them to the other network (store-forward principle), taking into account filter, conversion, mapping and multiplex rules. With the help of mapping tables, the message exchange between all four networks is possible.

Filter and conversion rules can be used to filter or modify CAN or CAN-FD messages. This can reduce the bus load on each network, since only messages that are of interest to the other network are transmitted. Data multiplexing enables the mapping of CAN-FD data to several standard CAN messages, for example.

Configuration
The configuration of the CANbridge NT can be done comfortably via USB using the Windows-based configuration tool supplied. The tool makes it very easy to configure filter, mapping, multiplexer or translation rules without any programming knowledge.
